Why is this an Appetizer Ride? Glad you asked! Your great meal begins with a great appetizer, so this ride is to begin your great road cycling passion. We want new riders to come and learn to group ride. This will be out of our Ahwatukee location every Sunday.  The goal is to take beginning riders and build their strength, knowledge, and confidence through various group ride activities.  All are welcome. Along the way, we will discuss:

• What you need to ride with

• Roadside repairs (spare tube/s, inflation device, &  tire levers at a minimum)

• Nutrition for longer rides

• Hydration for the summer

• shifting

• climbing hills

• group ride etiquette

• and much more

This ride is perfect for you if:

• Have been off the bike for awhile

• New to the sport

• Afraid of spandex 🙂

• Not sure if you have the right bike… EVERY bike is welcome!

• If you want to learn how to ride in a group.

We will focus on shifting and climbing small hills.  This is a No Drop Ride, we will NOT leave you behind.  We will also serve a light breakfast after the ride.

We will meet at shop around 7:10am and leave promptly at 7:30am
