COME AND IMPROVE YOUR MOUNTAIN BIKE SKILLS! Climb better, descend with confidence, and learn how to safely navigate rough terrain!

Professional instruction is the safest and fastest ways to improve your skills on the trail. Amy Regan*, a former pro racer, has been a cycling coach and personal trainer and MTB instructor since 1996. She has helped hundreds of new riders improve skill, strength, safety and FUN factor on the trails. “Don’t learn by crashing!” Amy says. Whether you are a brand new rider or have had some experience on trails, making sure you understand the fundamentals of mountain biking is the best way to gain confidence and have more fun on the trails!

The clinic begins with making sure that your bike is set up correctly for you with a evaluation of your on your bike. Saddle height and tire pressure may need to be adjusted for you, and can make a huge difference in your riding experience and ability.

Then you’ll begin to learn the basic skills and the fundamentals of mountain biking, such as position changes, moving the bike underneath you, balance, mounting and dismounting, braking, cornering, climbing and descending. Improving these necessary skills helps insure that every ride is a great ride!

PLEASE NOTE: These clinics are are posted and advertised in several different locations. The RSVP list does not indicates the total number of sign-ups. Since there is a limit of 12 riders per class (6 per instructor), please sign-up soon to be sure you get a spot. You will be notified if you are on the waiting list.

*COST: $75.00 / half-day class, with a limit of six people per instructor.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

– Your own bike or rental (we can arrange)

– Helmet

– 70oz of water (bottles or hydration pack)

– Mountain bike shoes or sturdy shoes such a light trail shoes or hikers

– Sunglasses

– Comfortable but not too baggy bike or workout clothing

OPTIONAL:

– Bike gloves

– Padded shorts

– Tool bag / tire tube
